Welcome to the Hispanic Health webpage!
The purpose of this page is to spread knowledge about the barriers to health that many Hispanics face in the United States as well as the health disparities present in Latin America. This page is the result of the research that I (the author) have done for an independent study, and I hope that it will be helpful for those who are interested in improving Hispanic health.
About the Author
My name is Brittany Byerley, and I am a pre-med student at Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). I am a double major in Biology and Spanish. My interest in Hispanic health is the result of both medical humanitarian trips to Latin America and volunteering in a free health clinic. I realize the great need for equality in health in Latin America as well as in the United States, and I hope to help close the gap in access to healthcare and quality of care in my future medical career.
